UKRAIN IN THE THERAPY OF ADVANCED METASTATIC PANCREATIC CANCER: A CASE REPORT

Summary: Ukrain was administered to a patient with advanced metastatic pancreatic cancer untreatable by conventional chemotherapy Two courses of 50 ampoules (1 ampoule = Ukrain 5 mg) each were administered and this brought about a significant improvement in patient status. During subsequent surgery, no signs of the previously diagnosed pancreatic cancer could be found. Survival of the patient after the original diagnosis of advanced pancreatic cancer was more than 5 years, and the eventual cause of death was gastric carcinoma of different histological origin.
